BONUS: When you leave for Europe on a Wednesday but arrive on a Thursday, that's one less set of clothes to pack on a month long trip! This afternoon we're off to Europe for a 6 city, 7 country road trip before visiting Sarah in the UK. I thought I'd get a little writing done before we go as this Wix blog editor is pretty crappy and I'm anticipating being too tired to finish off an entry tomorrow evening after a 7 hour flight and 3 hour drive from Geneva, Switzerland to Besançon, France where our friend Toña lives.

We're not on our flight yet, but it looks like we lucked out by missing some United technical glitch that grounded all their planes for a few hours yesterday. Fingers crossed!

Besançon

Pretty smooth travel today. 7 1/2 hour flight, John Wick 4 & dinner, 4 1/2 hours of so-so airplane sleep, 3 hour drive from Geneva to Besançon with a stop for a cappuccino and the Lindt store, and voila, we have arrived! I should have brought flip flops after all, as it's going to be pretty warm for at least the next few days herein France.

The chateau of our friends is incredible but more in that in the next day or two.
